Our understanding of the La Tène settlements in the Champagne region, which has been investigated for a century and a half, has really taken off over the last 35 years. These are essentially small farms with loose organization and without deep cut demarcation systems or ditches. At a distance from these houses, silos, isolated or in groups, seem to be dug near the fields. This phenomenon seems to develop mainly from La Tène B. Once abandoned, some of these storage structures became the receptacle for human burials, whose burial practices differ from those used in contemporary cemeteries. Traduction : John Lynch.
