The data collected by the Habata Collective Research Project since its inception now makes it possible to observe the layout of Early La Tène settlements. The work has been based on a census of sites in well-researched sectors. By establishing certain criteria, it was possible to propose a categorisation based on the type of remains found and their structure. This approach also led to the notions of rupture and continuity between Hallstatt D and La Tène, as well as elements concerning the density of occupation of certain test areas.
