A preventive excavation conducted in 2008 by the Pôle Archéologique du Département de l’Aisne [Archaeological Team of the Aisne] in the precincts of the former Gouraud barracks at Soissons (Aisne) revealed the existence of a Gallo-Roman terracotta aediculum showing significant traces of polychromy. These have been the subject of unprecedented analyses of this kind of artefact, and provided information on the origin of the pigments used. Traduction : Margaret & Jean-louis CADOUX
