The discovery in 2003 of a small seriously eroded monument attributable to the Middle Neolithic period raised questions as to the credibility of such a discovery, the only one of its kind in the region; all the more so as this monument appeared to be very dilapidated and the resolution of its image on the ground was never high, even after complete excavation.

The few remaining shards found during the excavation support a Michelsberg dating, even though AMS dating has proved impossible because of the poor preservation of the bone.
