In Picardy, a number of rural settlements of the La Tène period have yielded human remains that appear to have been thrown aside. A certain number of these bones bear traces of blows and/or carving which are difficult to interpret. Comparisons with inventories of traces on the bones from sanctuaries however suggest certain hypotheses.
