The attention attracted by the deformations of a vase from a sepulture of the monuments of the necropolis in Passy has lead to the study of the peculiar nature of the other ones. the fact that those vases and the anthropomorphous spatulas came only of the wide and deep tombs with lying skeletons and more particularly in the long monuments belonging to the second period of the construction, it stood to reason that their symbol had more complicated meaning than a simple rite. The assimilation of the decoration of the vase of Grossgartach to a landscape showing the three elements essential for the peasantry life : heat, water and earth converge on a worship aspect spread in the indo-european world.
