Scientists generally agree to locate the royal Merovingian villa - where among others King Clothaire I and his sons Sigebert I and Childeric I lived - at Braive or at Berny-Rivière (Aisne). Now, it looks as if the data establishing this identification should be revisited. To these two localities a third one should be added in the site of Breny which has archaeological and historical evidence likely to point to another location.
